You have probably tried it all – dieting, not dieting, going on exercise regimes, reading self-help books. You know you don’t lack willpower but somehow you can’t seem to free yourself from your behaviour around eating. Yet.
Working with binge and compulsive eating requires a strategy for working with the issues around eating and therapy that works to get to the reason for the eating. In working this way, we are not simply attempting to control the behaviour – which may work for a while but either inevitably breaks because the need is still there – but are ultimately freeing ourselves and stepping outside the cycle of binge eating.
